Back in the late forties, SMEC (Scale Model Equipment Company) came out with a motorizing kit for their 1/32 scale wooden car kits. This is the motor they supplied with the kit. It was used to convert the kits to enable them to be used for round-the-pole racing. I got this one courtesy of Charles Lawrence in Seattle and I'm probably going to use it to convert the SMEC-based wooden buck of my HRG aerodynamic. I'm also posting some photos of an old SMEC kit that was converted by this method. These photos are courtesy of Slotforum member Couserslot (I'm not sure of his real name). Cheers.
