ROBIN BRIGGS' KIEFT

My friend Robin in New Zealand is building a car with one of my Kieft bodies, as a little replica of the two-litre car Ronnie Adams raced in the 1954 TT at Dundrod. He is using a Penelope Pitlane FEa front-engine chassis, which is really for single-seaters, but the Kiefts had a central driving position and Robin hopes the FEa will allow him to have a reasonably deep cockpit. He likes his old 1970s slot-car parts and has modified the chassis slightly to take 1/8in threaded axles and narrow wheels, and a grub-screwed contrate.
